Village Hall to shut at end of August 2026?
If you value the hall and recreation field as a community asset and are concerned with how it will be run going forward, then it is imperative that you make your views known by writing to Woodmancote Parish Clerk/RFO at clerk@woodmancoteparish.gov.uk requesting that their plans for running the village hall are publicly shared and for the community to be consulted ahead of any decision being made on the future running of the hall!
The Charity are sadly faced with having to ask user groups to cease operation at the Hall and to remove all their property by the end of August 2026.

Lease negotiations between the Woodmancote Village Hall CIO, the charity who currently run the hall, and the Woodmancote Parish Council have been ongoing since 2023. The Charity are sad to share that it is unable to sign a new lease and accept the conditions set down by the parish council without a significant increase in hire charges to regular user groups and ad hoc users of the hall. Woodmancote Village Hall is owned by the parish council on behalf of the community and any decision of this magnitude should be taken in consultation with the community but there has been no evidence of this by the council. In fact the council have held meetings in private and have not shared their plans on how they envisage the hall being run post end October 2026.
